Sailing is not an NCAA sport. Instead, we are a part of the Intercollegiate Sailing Association or ICSA. Our conference inside the ICSA is the South Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association (SAISA). As a Cross-Regional team, we have the oppurtunity to compete in regattas across the country each weekend.
If you are a member of the University of Miami community, fill out our contact form or send us an email at email@example.com. You can also DM us @umiami_sailing on Instagram! If you are a current junior or senior in high school, please start by filling out our prospective recruit form.
Yes! We offer both group and private lessons. If you're interested please fill out our contact form or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org!
We practice four times a week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons. We depart from campus at 3:30 PM and usually arrive back on campus between 7:00 - 7:30 PM.
We keep our fleet of Flying Juniors (FJs) at the US Sailing Center in Miami. Most commonly we sail the FJs or collegiate 420s. However, we do have the oppurtunity to compete in keelboat regattas throughout the year.
Unfortunately, there are no sailing scholarships at the University of Miami nor any other schools. The ICSA rules prohibit sailing scholarships from exisiting. However, there are plenty of academic scholarships available, especially for candidates with need.
